Getting the Most out of Your Bike
- A service from a qualified mechanic (from $30 at Pump N Pedals, Cairns)
- Fitting 'slick' tyres – Less tread = less resistance
- Pump tyres each morning to maximum pressure (more air = more speed)
- Bring along a good can of chain lube – TF2/White Lightning are purpose-built for bikes – WD40, CRC etc. are not good for your bike
- A comfy man/woman's saddle
