Riders
To date the ride has been enjoyed and completed by a diverse range of people from both local and regional North Queensland, across Queensland and interstate as well as international participants from Ireland, U.S.A., New Zealand, Holland, England and Germany. Many come back each year to enjoy and savour the experience.
You can select from two different ride options: Road Riding or Mountain Biking (Dirty Dudes). For more information about the ride types, go to the Ride Options page. We cater for all levels of fitness and this is shown in the structure of our riding packs on both rides. If you're keen to get involved, we'd love you to be a part of fun!
The overriding factor of the Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride is the spirit with which everyone takes part - coming together to form a cohesive, supportive and encouraging group, consequently a strong sense of camaraderie forms over the week. We look forward to building on these experiences and watching the sunset over the Gulf of Carpentaria with you on June 30, 2012 after a week of enjoyable riding.
