The difference between a support person and a volunteer
A support person assists a friend or family member each day of the ride. For example they help to transport gear, prepare camp sites and generally make sure that their rider has everything they need from start to finish. As a supporter, you must register online as we require the details of all persons involved with the bike ride in any capacity. Your registration includes;
- Seven Days of adventure from Cairns to Karumba
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner for the duration of the ride
- Campsites (incl showers)
- First aid support
- Nightly entertainment
- Cairns to Karumba Ride Jersey
As a support person you also have some time each day to check out local sites and attractions along the way.
A volunteer is given a major area of responsibility each day of the ride. Their primary task is to fulfil this role for the benefit of all riders. Without the help of these people the ride simply could not take place. All volunteers must register online ($0 fee) prior to the close of registration. Volunteer roles include;
